There should be no loadshedding at the time of Sehar & Iftar during holy month of Ramazan. Present democratic government is determined and striving hard to eliminate the loadshedding till March 2018 and production of electricity would be brought up to 21,000 megawatt till August said State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali.

Presiding over a review meeting at FESCO headquarters, he said that Prime Minister and his whole team is taking every possible measure to end the loadshedding according to their manifesto and in this connection work is in full swing at short-term, midterm and long-term projects on war footing and results of short terms projects are being stared and production of electricity has begin from these projects.

He also issued orders to convert the all 66-KV grid station of FESCO region into 132-KV and said that projects for elimination of low voltage should be completed on top priority. He said that joint task force of Ministry & PEPCO would visit every distribution company to monitor the electricity development projects. He said that when present government came into power electricity outages was 18 hours but positive steps of government reduce this duration and provide maximum relief to public.

During briefing, CEO Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Mujahid Islam Billah told that FESCO constructed six new grid station during the last four years while two 66-KV grid stations were converted into 132-KV while 8,000 distribution transformers were added in FESCO distribution system and 181 trolley transforms have been provided to cope with any emergency situation and power suspension.

The meeting was also attended by GM operation Nizam au Din Marwat, GM Technical Sardar Masood Iqbal, CE Operation Amil Saddique, CCO Mujahid Pervez Chattha, SE first Circle M. Bashir, SE Second Circle M. Yaqoob, SE Jhang Khawaja M. Yaseen, SE Sargodha Circle M. Saleem and other FESCO Officers.
